Why have a tolerance failure if you don't have to?
NRC is one of the few distributors to actually test the quality of all parts that arrive at its facility. While others may claim they have exceptional incoming quality and thus no need for testing, NRC backs it up with Average Incoming Quality Measurements. As quality trends have been known to shift quickly in recent times, it makes sense to choose a distributor that can back up its quality. A good supplier one year can quickly go down hill the next year. Fortunately, NRC tracks electrical testing history, visual testing history, & corrective action history.

Why not utilize years of product history (including visual characteristics)?
NRC tests electrical characteristics such as dissipation and tolerance levels as well as visual characteristics such as legibility of product markings and epoxy. Of course, visual sampling (as opposed to just electrical testing) is conducted on every incoming lot per catalog or spec. Further, NRC maintains a database of previous problems that warns receivers of what to look for in all incoming lots.
