Thin Film Chip Resistors Utilize Ultra-Stable TaNFilm® (tantalum nitride)
Technology... TT electronics IRC Receives Preliminary T-Level Qualification for Thin Film Chip Resistors CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (May 11, 2010) -- TT electronics IRC's patented thin film technology has been providing R and S level reliability to the industry for years. Expanding its military-qualified resistor offering, IRC has received preliminary T-Level qualification for its PFC Series thin film chip resistors and the devices are now listed on the DSCC Qualified Products List. Dr. Debasis Roy, director of TT electronics IRC's thin film business unit, said "with the introduction of our T-level TaNfilm® chip resistors and their addition to the DSCC QPL, we are able to offer our customers another level of highly reliable, military-qualified products. This T-level designation extends the range of IRC's precision thin film chip resistors that can be specified for use in military/aerospace equipment with the highest reliability requirements, including all space-level applications beyond R and S levels." The PFC Series thin film T-level qualified resistors are available in 1505, 1206, 0805 and 0603 package sizes. Power rating for the resistors is dependent on chip sizes and MIL-PRF-55342 characteristics. The PFC Series thin film chip resistors are qualified to E, H, K and M characteristics and are available with resistance ranges from 10? to 125K?. Available tolerances are ±0.1%, ±1%, ±2%, ±5% and ±10%. The PFC Series resistors are constructed using IRC's patented ultra stable Tantalum Nitride (TaNFilm®) thin film resistive element for proven long life and high stability in harsh environments.
