Electronics announced today's reception of Tyco Fire & Safety's coveted
"Global Supplier Day Award" - for providing excellent service and superior
quality - over a very long period of time. The award was part of the
"Sourcing Council Suppliers Day" that took place at the Boca Raton Hilton
Hotel.
According to Tyco's
Senior Manager, Kathy Chiera, "the interactive forum offered valued
suppliers an opportunity to exchange ideas and share best practices to
create a dynamic and cohesive supplier network."
At the same time, it
recognized excellence amongst it's key core suppliers. |

The following subjects that were addressed
during the conference:
Corporate
sourcing (Opex Initiatives), supplier expectations, strategic sourcing,
SBU sourcing lead updates, life safety products, performance expectations
and Lean Six Sigma.
According to NRC's VP of marketing, Eric Eisen, "this award recognizes
NRC's consistent contribution of high-rated technical excellence in
strategic sourcing and logistics. In addition, it shows NRC's ability to
meet and exceed Tyco Fire & Safety's business requirements and quality
standards, while providing excellent supply chain flexibility."
NRC competed with thousands of other
corporate Tyco suppliers, to receive the award - which eventually came
down to the top 60 suppliers.
