The Account Development Representative will negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external customers and is able to win concessions without damaging relationships. The Account Development Representative will use their relationship and trust leverage with other parties to gain more profit and revenue for the company.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

· Lead generation, qualification and new business development

· Penetrate new and under penetrated accounts

· Drive customer demand

· Develop strategic customer sales/marketing plans

Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree (BA), preferred in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or Electrical Engineering

· 3-5 years industry/sales experience

· Distribution and/or supply chain experience preferred

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills

POSITION Requirements:

 Proficiency in Microsoft® Excel and Word mandatory. Microsoft® Access skills are preferred.
 Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
 Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, including high multi-tasking capabilities.
 Must have ability to work with deadlines.

BASIC PURPOSE: To optimize the customer supply chain, by trouble shooting order entry, expediting requirements, and purchase (scheduling) issues with our vendors (electronics manufacturers).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Interfacing with the suppliers, internally with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance to confirm purchases, offer supplier alternatives and to develop on-time solutions.

· Requires a self-starter who has the ability to prioritize, multi-task and deal with pressure

· Time management, organization and customer service skills

· Ability to sell, negotiate, persuade and influence Experience that is a plus: Knowledge of military and commercial electronics and components, including specifications and contract requirements, is preferred. Buying/purchasing experience in (or for) the electronics distribution industry. Any experience in generating quotes and/or selling electronic components to customers is a plus. Experience in submitting RFQ’s to vendors and organizing vendor responses is also helpful.

· Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of customer and supplier

· Proven business development and the ability to originate new business, converting a lead into a qualified prospect
